Tangmarg, June 26: Bazm-e-Adab Gulmarg Kashmir- a literary organization last weekend organised a brief ceremony to administer oath to the newly elected president of the organization besides other office bearers.
An official spokesperson of the organisation said Hilal Kashmiri was elected unopposed the president of the organization and the oath taking ceremony was hosted by Bazm-e-Adab Gulmarg Kashmir’s ex-general secretary Shafiq Karahami at his residence.
According to the spokesperson Abdul Rasheed Shahbaz shall be the patron-in-chief and editor of the organization. Hilal Kashmiri took oath as the president while as Muhammad Akbar Majroh Khagi shall be next vice-president. Mehboob Bilal- a young and dynamic writer took oath as the new General Secretary.
Tausif Raza will work as Media Secretary of the forum while Abdul Salam Hamraz was elected as Organizer. Atiq-ul-allah Ateek was elected as the adviser and Muhammad Akbar Mir Shafiq got position of the executive treasurer . Majeed Kanlu also participated in the event.
He said Hilal Kashmiri was felicitated and later was administered oath of allegiance to the organization.
In his vote of thanks, Kashmiri thanked all the members of Bazm-e-Adab and also General Secretary of Batapura Kanhama Nazir Shahid.
Nazir Shahid performed the duties of the presiding officer of this election as well.
The ceremony was followed by a meeting in which the working committee was formed for the next three years office bearers of the new committee.
