July 21: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs, Bandipora police along with Excise Department have destroyed wild bung cultivation in Sumbal area.
An official said that the team under the supervision of SDPO Sumbal and SHO Sumbal along with Excise Department have destroyed wild bung cultivation in villages Rakh Shilwat, Wangipora Sumbal and other adjoining areas.
General public of the area have appreciated the action of Bandipora police.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.
Our consistent actions against such anti-social elements should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.“`
