Bandipora, Nov 24: Zone Bandipora has emerged as the leading zone in the district in new student enrolments under the ongoing Enrollment Drive 2025, with officials crediting the remarkable achievement to the active and hands-on leadership of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Bandipora, Fayaz Ahmad Shah, and Zonal Education Planning Officer (ZEPO), Master Noor-ud-Din Bhat.
Both officers have been physically on the ground from the beginning of the campaign, accompanying teachers on door-to-door visits and personally appealing to parents to enroll their children in government schools. Their direct involvement has boosted teacher morale and strengthened public confidence in government institutions.
On Monday, the ZEO and ZEPO carried out an extensive outreach campaign in the far-flung area of Chuntimulla adjoining hamlets. They interacted with families, explained the academic advantages and support systems in government schools, and encouraged parents to admit their children. The visit produced impressive results, with 130 new admissions recorded in a single day.
Speaking to the media, ZEPO Bandipora Noor-ud-Din Bhat said they adopted a structured and disciplined strategy from day one. “We divided the entire zone into three categories—Red, Yellow, and Green—based on enrolment feasibility and previous data. Teams were mobilised accordingly, and we worked in a systematic manner. Today, our zone stands at the top in the district in terms of fresh enrolments,” he said.
ZEO Bandipora Fayaz Ahmad Shah expressed deep appreciation for the efforts of teachers, saying the achievement reflects their hard work and commitment. “We wholeheartedly thank all our teachers who worked tirelessly and sincerely. This success belongs to them, and without their dedication, this milestone would not have been possible,” he said.
The officers were also accompanied by Principal Higher Secondary School Chuntimulla Waseem Ahmad, who is also the Cluster head Chuntimulla .
The proactive campaign in Zone Bandipora has set an example for other zones and is expected to significantly contribute to the district’s overall enrolment numbers. Officials said the drive will continue in the coming days to ensure that every child is brought into the fold of formal education.
