Bandipora Zone Accelerates Textbook Distribution, Ensures 100% Coverage Ahead of Winter Vacations

Convener News Desk

Bandipora, Nov 28: The Bandipora education authorities have stepped up efforts to ensure that all students receive their textbooks before the onset of winter vacations.

Officials said over the past two days, nearly 90% of students across the zone have been provided with academic materials, with officials assuring that complete coverage will be achieved by the end of the day.

Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Bandipora and Zonal Education Planning Officer (ZEPO) Bandipora implemented a strategic plan to streamline the distribution process. The zone was divided into three functional categories—far-flung areas, rural areas, and urban areas—to prioritize students in the most remote locations first.

Master Noor Din Bhat, ZEPO Bandipora, explained that distribution began with the far-flung belts, followed by rural schools, and finally urban institutions. This phased approach allowed authorities to overcome logistical challenges and ensure textbooks reached every child in time.

Parents in the district have expressed gratitude to the ZEO office for the swift and efficient efforts. Officials described the initiative as “focused, fast, and fully community-centred,” emphasizing the importance of uninterrupted learning during the winter months.

With this accelerated drive, Bandipora Zone is on track to achieve 100% textbook coverage before schools close for the winter break, ensuring that no student is left without essential learning materials.
