Srinagar, April 28: On Friday, the body of a 21-year-old man was recovered in the Dalgate region of Srinagar, in central Kashmir. According to an official who spoke to Kashmir convener, the deceased has been identified as Tanveer Ahmad Khan, the son of Mohammad Lateef Khan, a resident of Sumlar Bandipora.
The body was discovered near the HB lighthouse in Dalgate. The official stated that it appears that Tanveer died due to drowning, and the body has been transported to SMHS Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Inquest proceedings under section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code have been initiated in connection with the incident.
