Bandipora Teacher Javaid Jawad Among 55 School Heads Chosen for National Leadership Meet in Delhi

Bandipora, Jan 07: Javid Ahmad Bhat, Head Teacher of Government Girls Middle School (GMS), Onagam in Bandipora district, has been nominated to participate in a prestigious national-level conference on school leadership to be held in New Delhi later this month.

According to an official communication issued by the National Centre for School Leadership (NCSL) under the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi, Javid Ahmad Bhat has been selected to take part in the National Conference on “Successful School Leadership: Innovative Pathways for Viksit Bharat@2047”, scheduled from January 17 to 19, 2026, at the India International Centre, New Delhi. The teacher is currently posted at Laharwalpora Bandipora.

The conference will bring together selected school heads and principals from across the country whose case studies and leadership practices were shortlisted through a rigorous national selection process.

Out of more than 300 entries received from government and government-aided schools, only 55 school heads were selected, including Javid Ahmad Bhat from Jammu and Kashmir.

Javid Ahmad Bhat represents Government Girls Middle School, Onagam, Bandipora, and will share his experiences and best practices in school leadership at the national forum. His nomination is seen as a recognition of his contribution to school administration and educational development at the grassroots level.

The National Centre for School Leadership, which functions under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has stated that it will bear travel, boarding, and lodging expenses of the nominated participants as per NIEPA norms.

Apart from Javid Ahmad Bhat, three other school heads from Jammu and Kashmir have also been selected for the conference. The event aims to highlight innovative leadership models in school education and contribute to the national vision of a developed India by 2047.

The nomination of a teacher from Bandipora to such a high-level national platform has been widely welcomed in educational circles and is being viewed as a moment of pride for the district.
