Bandipora Police steps up security ahead of Republic Day celebrations

SSP chairs joint review meeting with Army, CRPF and other forces to fine-tune deployment and coordination

Bandipora, Jan 08: Ahead of the Republic Day celebrations, a joint security review meeting was held on Wednesday at the Conference Hall of the District Police Lines (DPL) in Bandipora to assess the overall security situation and finalise arrangements for the national event.
The meeting was chaired by Senior Superintendent of Police Bandipora, Ajaz Ahmed Zargar, and was attended by commanding officers of the 3rd and 45th battalions of the CRPF, the 14 and 13 Rashtriya Rifles units, the 27 Assam Rifles, along with officers from other sister security agencies. Additional Superintendent of Police Bandipora and senior officers of the district police also participated.
Officials held detailed deliberations on the prevailing security scenario in the district, focusing on deployment strategies, domination of vulnerable areas, intelligence sharing and coordination among various security forces in the run-up to Republic Day.
The SSP emphasised the need for heightened vigilance, strengthened area domination and seamless coordination among all stakeholders to ensure the peaceful and smooth conduct of Republic Day celebrations in the district. The meeting concluded with a resolve to maintain a robust security posture and close inter-agency cooperation during the forthcoming national event.
