Bandipora Police seize 05 Vehicles, 21 Challaned for violating traffic rules

Bandipora, 06 Feb: Continuing its drive against traffic violators to ensure safe driving, Bandipora Police team headed by Dysp Hqr Bandipora Dr Idrees Wani on Sunday seized 05 and challaned 21 vehicles on various routes of the town for different offences.

An official said the drive is going on in view of the public complaints, grievances with regard to overloading, intermittent/obstructive stops, misbehaviour, uncleanness of vehicles, non-availability of services at late hours, violation of routes, over charging, playing audio/ visual systems,black films, negligent driving, reservation of seats for women/ handicapped, un regulated movement and wrong parking, resulting in traffic jam and accidents.

The Police has again requested the people particularly the drivers and vehicle owners to obey the traffic rules and co-operate with the Police for smooth and hassle free movement of traffic on roads. 

Bandipora police has reiterated that certain measures have to be adopted by the drivers and commuters for their safety and hassle free traffic movement, which include wearing a helmet, avoiding overtaking, control over speed, avoiding triple riding, wearing seat belts, avoiding driving on the wrong side, avoiding use of tinted glasses, halting vehicles on pedestrian crossings and avoid use cell phones while driving etc.

It has once again requested the people particularly the drivers and vehicle owners to obey the traffic rules and co-operate with the Police for smooth and hassle free movement of traffic on roads.

Further people hope that this process will continue with full vigour and force.
