Bandipora Police launches massive anti -drugs drive
Bandipora,06April. The Bandipura Police on Saturday said that it has launched a massive drive against Drug trafficking in the district in the previous year and has seized huge quantity of drugs.
Superintendent of Bandipora Police, Rahul Malik said that continuing its series of actions against drug trafficking in the district special Nakas were placed at locations prone to drug trafficking. "11-cases against drug traffickers were registered during the ensuing year-2019 and 11 accused involved were arrested".
He said two cases of drug trafficking were registered in sub-division Bandipora,in which 03 persons were apprehended. "Similarly 06 cases of drug trafficking were registered in Sub-division Sumbal and 05 persons involved were apprehended".
In Hajin area which is prone to such kind of menaces. 03 cases against drug traffickers were registered and 03 persons were apprehended.
Total recovery in these cases was Charas: 91.970 kgs
Codeine and Maxicoff-T Bottles :4380
Bhung leaves: 09 kgs
Brown sugar: 970 gms
Sposproxyon plus :1008 tablets (42 Strips).
In these cases 11 persons were arrested and 11 cases against the accused stand registered in respective police Stations under relevant sections of NDPS act.
