Bandipora Police Holds Thana Diwas to Address Public Grievances

Bandipora, 30 Jan: As a part of the Public outreach programme and an initiative of the Government of UT J&K, Bandipora Police Thursday organized Thana Diwas at all Police Stations /Police Posts of the District.

An official spokesperson said the events were chaired by respective jurisdictional Police Officers who met the people, listened their grievances for early redressal.

Spokesperson said the officers recorded the grievances for redressal and assured people that their genuine issues pertaining to local Police would be sorted out at the earliest. “Issues pertaining to higher offices would be forwarded for early redressal”.

During the events, officers also highlighted Three New Criminal Laws, their applicability and their importance in modern-day policing.

The participants were requested to cooperate with local Police in maintaining law and order in the area and identify anti-national and anti-social elements especially those who are doing Narcotics-smuggling in the area

Spokesperson said the general public appreciated the efforts of Bandipora Police in ensuring a peaceful environment and requested more such meetings in future where participants can express their opinions freely.
