Bandipora police Busts gang of thieves, 04 arrested , stolen property recovered
Bandipora 05 January 2022: Bandipora Police on Wednesday claimed to have busted a gang of thieves by arresting four persons of the gang and has recovered the stolen material.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, spokesperson said on Tuesday, a written complaint received by Police Station Bandipora stating therein that a Motor Cycle bearing reg. No. Jk19-7354 Model 2019 has been stolen by some unknown persons and concealed at some unknown location. "In this regard,Case FIR No. 03/2022 U/S 379 IPC was registered in PS Bandipora and investigation taken up".
During the course of investigation three suspects namely Sameer Ahmad Sheikh S/O Reyaz Ahmad, Abrar Ahmad Rather S/O Mohd Hussain and Zameer Ahmad Akhoon S/O Zahoor Ahmad all residents of Kaloosa Bandipora were zeroed in and were brought to P/S for questioning. "During thorough questioning the suspected persons disclosed that they have stolen the motor cycle bearing No. Jk19-7354 and sold it to one Mechanic Jafar Shafi Bhat S/O Mohd Shafi R/O Safapora, who runs a motor cycle repairing shop at Safapora".
The said Mechanic person has turned the motor cycle into parts to conceal the actual position of Motor bike which were later on recovered by Police Station Bandipora. All the accused have been arrested in the instant case and more disclosures are expected.
