Hajin, April 16: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking, Police Station Hajin achieved another major success during naka checking today at Shahgund Hajin.
During routine checking, the naka party noticed a suspicious individual who attempted to flee upon seeing the police. However, the alert police team acted swiftly and tactfully apprehended him.
Upon questioning, the individual disclosed his identity as Gh. Nabi Dar, son of Mohd Jamal Dar, resident of Shahgund Hajin.
During personal search, a charas-like substance weighing approximately 1 kg and 100 grams was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 50/2026 under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Hajin, and further investigation has been set into motion.
The local public has appreciated the efforts of the police. Hajin Police reiterates its firm commitment to eradicating the drug menace and will continue its action against drug peddlers with full determination.
