Bandipora, Feb 14: The Bandipora Municipal Council in north Kashmir is facing challenges as it operates without a Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
According to locals, the absence of a permanent CEO has led to delays in essential projects, causing distress to residents. The situation has also impacted contractors who are struggling due to the lack of administrative leadership.
Despite recent government directives for transfers and postings in municipal councils/committees, Bandipora MC has been overlooked, worsening the situation.
Concerned locals have appealed to J&K LG Manoj Sinha, Principal Secretary Urban Local Bodies, and DC Bandipora to urgently appoint a dedicated CEO to address the community's issues.
