Srinagar, Feb 24: Azad Dramatic Cultural Club from Lar Repora area of central Kashmir's Ganderbal district, participated in the 25th Anniversary of "Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2024," organised by the National School of Drama, New Delhi, and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
The event took place on February 21st, the culmination day of the festival, at the theatre studio of ADDC in Ganderbal.
The National School of Drama planned to prepare an online performance based on themes like ‘Vasudeva Kutumbakam’, ‘Panch Pran’, or ‘Vikashit Bharat’. Participating groups were required to perform at a venue convenient to them, using their respective languages.
Over 1500 groups from across the country performed online via platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
Azad Dramatic Cultural Club presented a short play on the theme of ‘Vikshit Bharat’, directed by Masoom Ramzan. The performance received applause from a large audience, who expressed a desire for more such programs in the future.
The talented artists who showcased their skills in the play included Abdul Samad Mir, Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, Nissar Ahmad Bhat, Ghulam Rasool Lone, Javeed Ahmad Shah, Abdul Majeed Dar, Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat, Ashaq Hussain Najar, Mehraj U Din Bhat, and Ashiq Hussain Sheikh.
The music for the performance was composed by Sajad Maqbool Mir and Mohd Ramzan Lone, while the set and property design was handled by the talented Mohd Maqbool Bhat.
