Awantipora Police, Geology & Mining Deptt Siezes Mechanized Motor Boat Involved in Illegal Mineral Extractions

Awantipora, December 09:

Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Awantipora Police seized Mechanized Motor Boat.

Police party of Police Post Reshipora headed by Incharge Police Post Reshipors SI Muneer Ahmad seized one Mechanized motor boat being used by below mentioned person for illicit extraction of sand from river Jehulm at Datpora Reshipora Imran Rashid Dar son of Abdul Rashid Dar, resident of Dogripora and Ubaid Maqsood Dar son of Maqsood Ahmad Dar, resident of Dogripora.

Accordingly, case vide FIR NO. 268/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding illegal mineral-related activities in their neighbourhood.
