ARTO Shopian Intensifies Crackdown on Reckless Stunt Riding

Shopian, June 27: The Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) Er Arif Parveez Shah Shopian has intensified enforcement drives against traffic violations, focusing on reckless stunt riding and illegal vehicle modifications in the Main Market area of Shopian and Heerpora along the Mughal Road.

During the special crackdown, transport authorities conducted rigorous inspections and took action against bikers found performing dangerous stunts, violating traffic regulations, and operating vehicles with unauthorized modifications. The drive aims to enhance road safety, prevent accidents, and ensure strict compliance with motor vehicle laws.

ARTO stated that such violations not only endanger the lives of riders but also pose a serious threat to pedestrians and other road users. The enforcement campaign will continue across the district, particularly in areas witnessing frequent traffic violations.

The ARTO Shopian has urged motorists, especially young riders, to follow traffic rules, avoid stunt riding on public roads, and refrain from making illegal modifications to their vehicles.
