Army’s Vishal Bhandral Memorial Volleyball Premier League- 2020 concludes
Bandipora, 24 Oct: The Army's Vishal Bhandral Memorial Volleyball Premier League- 2020 concludes on saturday at Bapora village.
The twenty two days long Volleyball Premier League organized by Army’s 14RR at Bapora village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora District and was inaugurated on 02 October. The final match was played between the Nadihal A and Bapora C. Both the teams showcased their immense talent but Nadihal A performed better and won the final match.
An official said that Army organised Capt Vishal Bhandral Memorial Volleyball Premier League- 2020 with an aim to build a strong bonding between the Youth of Kashmir and Indian Army through sports.
The tournament that had started on Oct 02 received an overwhelming response of over 20 teams from various villages under the 14RR. cash prizes worth Rs 20000 were awarded to the players by Company Commander, who attended the event as the Chief Guest.
The champion team and the runners up team were awarded cash prizes of Rs 10000 and Rs 8000 each and best player 2000 by Company commander .
The event was also attended by a large number of villagers of the nearby villages. Tea and refreshments were provided at the end during which youths and Army personnel interacted on various local issues.
officials said all the villagers and youth were appreciative of the efforts being put in by Army in the region and requested for more such events in future too.
