Bandipora, Jan 28: In a prompt display of humanitarian concern, personnel of Ajay Company of 13 Rashtriya Rifles (Kumaon) rushed to the aid of accident victims in the Ajas area of Bandipora district on Thursday.
According to officials, at around 10:30 am, Army personnel spotted a white Hyundai Creta (JK15A-3624), owned by Abdul Rashid Khan of Bandipora, which had skidded off the road, resulting in a serious accident. Without hesitation, the soldiers rescued the injured occupants and coordinated their immediate evacuation to Srinagar for advanced medical treatment.
In addition to providing life-saving assistance, the Army deployed a recovery vehicle to clear the damaged car from the site, ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and preventing further disruptions.
Local residents expressed their gratitude, praising the soldiers for their timely and selfless intervention. The incident once again highlighted the Indian Army’s commitment to public welfare, rapid emergency response, and service in remote and challenging terrains.
