Army Recovers Accident-Damaged Vehicle in Bandipora

Bandipora, July 14: The Indian Army’s 14 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) under Kilo Force successfully recovered an accident-damaged Tata Sumo vehicle from near Get Well Medical Store at Sonarwain in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

According to officials, the recovery operation involved a detailed assessment of the terrain, deployment of specialised recovery equipment, controlled winching and guided manoeuvring by trained Army personnel. The vehicle (JK04E-8839) was safely retrieved from the accident site and handed over to Pethkoot Police Station for further legal formalities.

Local residents expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for its prompt response and humanitarian assistance.

The Army said the operation reflected the unit’s technical expertise, operational preparedness and continued commitment to assisting civilians during emergencies, further strengthening public confidence in the force.
