Army Personnel Assist Victims of Road Accident Near Malangam

Bandipora, March 16: Two persons sustained minor injuries after a car skidded off the road and overturned near Malangam village in Bandipora district on Sunday afternoon, officials said.

The accident occurred at around 3:30 pm when a white Maruti Suzuki Alto (registration number JK15B-3060) lost control due to slippery road conditions and overturned while travelling near Malangam.

The vehicle belongs to Mushtaq Ahmed, a resident of the same village.

According to officials, Mushtaq Ahmed and Manzoor Ahmed were travelling from Bandipora to Malangam at the time of the incident.
Troops of the Indian Army who were present in the vicinity responded to the accident and reached the spot shortly after the vehicle overturned. The area was secured and the occupants were evacuated from the vehicle.
Army personnel also provided first aid to the injured on the spot. Both individuals sustained minor injuries and were reported to be safe and stable.

Officials said the timely response helped ensure that the injured received immediate assistance.
Road accidents caused by slippery road conditions are reported occasionally in the area, particularly during adverse weather or when road surfaces become wet.

Authorities have advised motorists to drive cautiously, particularly on rural roads where sharp turns and uneven surfaces may increase the risk of accidents.
Local residents also appreciated the prompt response by the Army personnel in assisting the injured and ensuring their safety.

Officials said emergency assistance by security forces in such situations helps in providing immediate relief until further medical help becomes available
