Army organises snow art competition in Gurez

Bandipora, Feb 05: After fresh snowfall Army's Bagtore unit in Gurez valley of North Kashmir's Bandipora district rated snow art and snow games competition in Bagtore village for local children on Monday.
Several games were played in which around 40 to50 boys and girls participated and showed their love towards the nation by writing I love India and I love Bharat.
The games competition included Kabadi, Kho-Kho, snow race for different age groups and snow art.
The main aim of this event was to bring out the talent and to develop patriotism among the youth of the border area.
Local residents while speaking with the media said that it was a good initiative carried out by the India army as locals will get some fun to celebrate.
"Army always remains at the forefront to engage locals in games and bring opportunities for us. We are thankful to the Indian Army for engaging us in these games," Zaheer Ahmed, a local resident, said.
"We hope more games competitions will be held in the coming days," locals added.
At the end of the event cash prizes were distributed among first, second and third position holders.
