Katra, Feb 16: Indian Army with an aim to provide essential healthcare services to the people in remote areas, organised a medical and veterinary camp in Katra area of Jammu division on Friday.
Defence Spokesperson said that the camp witnessed a remarkable turnout and made a significant impact on both humans and animals.
He said that the event offered a comprehensive range of medical services, including consultations, check-ups, and treatments to Mules and their Handlers, Porters and other people working day and night for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra, all assistance including free Medicines to patients .
“In addition, dedicated veterinarians and health care professionals were present to offer expert assistance to Mules and patients,” he said.
The camp, he said, held at Katra with the blessings of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, witnessed participation from members of all age groups, reflecting the diverse healthcare needs of the community.
“With this initiative, the Indian Army reaffirmed its commitment to serving the well-being of the community and promoting access to healthcare for all,” the spokesperson added.
