Army Organises AYUSH and Veterinary Camp in Remote Village of Reasi
Reasi, April 17: The Indian Army organised a comprehensive Medical, AYUSH, and Veterinary Camp at Sarsot (Batsiyala) in Reasi district, as part of its ongoing outreach to remote and underserved areas of Jammu & Kashmir.
The camp aimed to provide essential healthcare services to villagers, especially those from far-flung regions with limited access to medical facilities. Teams of Army doctors, AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy) specialists, and veterinary experts participated in the initiative.
The services offered included general health check-ups, free distribution of medicines, AYUSH consultations, awareness sessions on health and hygiene, and veterinary care, including vaccination and treatment of livestock.
Locals from nearby villages attended the camp in large numbers and expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for its consistent humanitarian efforts. The initiative was widely appreciated for addressing both human and animal healthcare needs in one of the region’s most remote and challenging terrains.
This outreach is part of the Indian Army’s broader mission to build trust and goodwill among residents and to support the well-being of communities in border and high-altitude regions.
