Baramulla, April 10: The Indian Army on Thursday organised a thought-provoking competition on the theme of “Kashmiriyat” at Girls Higher Secondary School Baramulla, drawing enthusiastic participation from students of various schools across the area.
The event provided a platform for students to articulate their understanding of Kashmiriyat—an ethos rooted in harmony, coexistence, and cultural unity. Participants shared diverse perspectives, with some asserting that the spirit of Kashmiriyat continues to flourish, while others reflected on its perceived decline over time, sparking meaningful dialogue among attendees.
The programme was attended by senior Army officials, former Municipal Council Chairman Tauseef Raina, along with the school principal and teaching staff from participating institutions.
Dignitaries appreciated the students for their thoughtful expressions and encouraged them to uphold the values of brotherhood, peace, and communal harmony in society.
Outstanding participants were felicitated at the conclusion of the event.
The programme was organised by the Indian Army in collaboration with Girls Higher Secondary School Baramulla as part of its continued outreach initiatives aimed at engaging youth and promoting cultural awareness.
