Bandipora, January 12: Indian Army stationed at Kanzalwan in Gurez Valley on Wednesday celebrated National Youth Day with the local youth of the area.
An official said the day was celebrated in the Bn AOR within an aim to channelise the energy of youth in a constructive manner. A Special lecture on contribution of youth worldwide in all sectors from environment, science and technology, education and research to establishment of start-up business was delivered by Company commander on the occasion.
A debate on “Kashmir and Kanzalwan Tarakki Mein Saath Saath " was also conducted during the programme. Various arguments for and opposing the idea were brought out by the youth and a constructive debate took place on the issue. The debate was summarised by recommending the ways to keep the pace of Kanzalwan 's development along with the rest of Kashmir.
. "Project Recruitment" initiative at Kanzalwan by Army was again highlighted during the interaction and more avenues to boost tourism in the sub sector were also discussed with the youth.
Officials said the Youth of the area welcomed this initiative of Kanzalwan Army and took a pledge for developing a peaceful and prosperous society.
