Srinagar, Jan 01: Suhail Farooq, a law student at Kashmir University, has recently published his debut book, “From a Victim to a Lawyer: A Societal Pressure”.
The book narrates a story of transformation, focusing on the struggles faced by individuals trapped in societal challenges and criminal influences.
Hailing from Aishmuqam in Anantnag, Suhail has become the first author from his village, marking a significant milestone in his community. While talking to Kashmir Convener Suhail shared that writing has been a lifelong passion for him and this book represents the culmination of years of his dedication and hard work.
The narrative of “From a Victim to a Lawyer” centers around a protagonist who faces numerous societal pressures and the daunting challenges posed by a life influenced by crime. However, through the themes of self-awareness, education, and unwavering determination, the character embarks on a transformative journey, ultimately discovering a renewed sense of purpose as an advocate for justice. This story not only highlights the individual’s resilience but also resonates with broader social issues, aiming to inspire readers who may find themselves confronting similar adversities in their own lives.
Suhail credits his success to the unwavering support of his parents and close friends, who have been instrumental throughout his journey of writing and publishing this book. Their encouragement and belief in my vision played a significant role and helped me bring this work to an accomplishment, Suhail mentioned.
“My book is a tribute to the power of education and living a life of purpose rooted in integrity and justice,” Suhail said. “I hope the book reaches a wide audience, particularly those with a background in law, as the theme is very personal to me”, he added.
