AMU alumni meets in Bandipora to review social activities of SSE Trust North kashmir

Bandipora, February 06: Sir Syed Education Trust North Kashmir – trust of alumni of Aligarh Muslim University on Saturday organised a review meeting  cum felicitation ceremony of  "Sir Syed Education Trust North Kashmir Aligs" at Kashmir Forest Training school Chitternar Bandipora in order to review the status of activities and progess of the trust till date  with the Key motive of  carrying forward the mission of  great social reformer and visionary leader Sir Syed Ahmad Khan .


Media and Publicity Secretary  Dr Azad Lone said the meeting was attended by  core group founding  members from District Bandipora, Baramulla, and kupwara in addition to the galaxy of AMU Alumini  officers/ officials working in different fields.


 The Bandipora wing of SSET gave an elaborative presentation  for precise introduction of the said trust, it's aims and objectives and discussed the future road map of this mission to achive the target goals. 


He said after threadbare deliberations, it was unanimously decided that the trust will work primarily on education sector  by ways of  providing guidance,awareness  counseling and financial assistance to deserving and meritorious students belonging to downtrodden and underprivileged sections of the society. 


It was further emphasized that all the  members shall workout in their respective areas so that  every  Alumnus  of AMU shall be brought under the aegis of this platform.


Lone said it was recapitulated that the trust will come up with the publication of a  e- News Letter at regular Intervals wherein activities, achievements and innovations of the trust  shall be showcased.


Spokesperson said special  felicitation ceremony was held in the honour of two pioneering members of the trust for their outstanding performance and receiving National Awards. 


The  North Kashmir Alig  members  congratulated and honoured Mr Imtiyaz Ahmad, Joint Director Planning & chief Advisor SSET  for his exemplary services at National level and getting 2021 National Award for e- governance in Panchayat Development Index during a national level convention held in Hyderabad India". 


Chairman SSET Dr. Pervez Maqbool Lone ( District Nodal officer DIET Baramulla) was felicitated and honoured for  his selfless and untiring services for the promotion of INSPIRE Awards MANAK at gross root level by National Innovation Foundation, India. 

A pair of mementoes , certificate and Shawl was presented to them as a symbol of honour.

Chairman SSET  Dr Pervez Maqbool Lone & Chief Advisor SSET Mr Imtiyaz Ahmad  expressed thanks and encouraged all other members to  work with dedication and sincerely in order to  achieve objectives of trust faster.  They further expressed need to expand coverage of trust in three Districts by outreach to each member.

The Bylaws , opening of joint Account , transparency and accountability committee were finalised to help the activities of trust are done on sustainable and credible manner.

The meeting ended with AMU Tarana followed by   vote of thanks to the chair and all members.

The speakers expressed gratitude to Bandipore team  Dr Azad Hussain Lone Media& publicity secretary and  Mr. Nayeem Ahmad Vice chairman SSET for arranging best get-together viz a viz objectives of meeting .
