Sumbal, February 11: To enhance farming practices and boost the income of local farmers, the Agriculture Department today inaugurated a Farmers’ Machinery Bank at Poshwari Naidkhai in Sonawari. The inauguration was carried out by SDM Sumbal Murtaza Ahmad in the presence of Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Gulam Ahmad Rather and Dr. Shabir, Agriculture Official.
Speaking at the occasion, officials highlighted that the Farmers’ Machinery Bank is equipped with modern agricultural equipment, which farmers can now rent at affordable rates. This initiative will help reduce labor-intensive work, improve efficiency, and enhance agricultural productivity.
Local farmers expressed their gratitude to the Agriculture Department for this facility, stating that it will not only ease their farming operations but also significantly reduce costs.
