Advisor Khushid Ganie, Renzushah inaugurated Kashmir cultural theatre programme “Aka Nandun”
Jammu, Jan 19: Advisor to Governor Khurshid Ahmad Ganaie on Tuesday inaugurated the Cultural Heritage show “Aka Nandun” At Abhinav Theater Jammu
Khawaja Farooq Renzushah was Special guest of the function representing Spiritual Art of Sufiyat in Kashmir. Renowned cultural figure of Jammu Balwant Thakur was Guest of Honour , Abdal Mahjoor, Hasrat Gadda, Hattashi, Jhon Mohammad of Khan Kaha Panah Tral and other distinguished personalities were present.
The program was organized by National Bhand Theatre Wathora directed by Shah-e-Jahan Ahmad Bhagat (Bismilla khan Awardee) and “Aka Nandun” written by Moti Lal Kemmu (Padam Shri Awardee ) Patorn Jenab Mohi Ud din Aijaz sahib.The program have sponsored by Ministry Of Culture Govt Of India New Delhi.
The folk play started in which many personalities from the cultural and folk theatre background participated and expressed their displeasure over the declining of Kashmir’s rich culture- particularly folk theatre. Play Director Shah-e-Jahan Ahmad Bhagat Said the motive of the folk Play is the revival lost glory of folk activities, which has deep roots in Kashmir history. Patron Mohi Ud din Aijaz while addressing Media People Said Our main motive is to attract our young generation towards our rich folk culture.
Khurshid Ahmad Ganaie Sahib appreciated this grand art of Kashmir and said that time has come to showcase it to world. He said he will direct local cultural Academy to concentrate to promote this Art. He was so impressed with performance and announced an on Spot Prize of Rs 50,000 Rs to the group as mark of honour.
Renzushah also while speaking on occasion said that “Aka Nandun” was historical true story of the king & queen of one prestigious city existing over wullar lake which was destroyed in most disastrous earthquake and disaster which still exists underneath depths of wullar. He expressed his heartfelt thanks for Advisor Khurshid Ganaie for taking keen interest in promotion of composite culture of Kashmir. He said that world has to acknowledge one day that our culture with its 6000 years remarkable background has universal appeal.
Balwant Thakur Said that Shah-e-Jahan Ahmad Bhagat is doing his best to Promote culture of Kashmir and National Bhand Theatre Wathora is the only Theatre in J&K in which our Culture has been saved. He wished best to the Group thanked Ministry Of Culture Govt Of India to give them more work like this to Promote Lost Kashmiri Culture.
