Bandipora, Jan 02: The Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) and Assistant Commissioner Panchayats (ACP), Bandipora, conducted an extensive on-the-spot inspection of various developmental projects in Block Aloosa.
The visit aimed at reviewing the progress of ongoing works and ensuring the quality of completed projects. During the inspection, the officers thoroughly examined execution standards and issued clear directions to the concerned officials to adhere strictly to sanctioned estimates. They cautioned that no deviation from approved plans shall be allowed unless formally sanctioned by the competent authority.
Emphasizing judicious use of public funds, the ACD directed that desilting works must be undertaken only at locations where there is an actual requirement and tangible public utility.
The officers also inspected under-construction water harvesting tanks. Local residents expressed their appreciation to the ACD for initiating these works, noting that the tanks will significantly help address water scarcity, particularly for irrigation and pesticide spraying purposes.
Later, the officers visited the under-construction Panchayat Ghar at Watpora-B, Block Bandipora, and reviewed the pace and quality of work. The ACP directed the executing agency to expedite the remaining works and ensure timely completion.
The visit underscores the district administration’s commitment to transparent governance, quality infrastructure development, and efficient delivery of public assets for community welfare.
