Bandipora, May 12: Senior academician Ab. Majeed Dar Friday assumed the additional charge of Chief Education Officer (CEO) Bandipora at Mini-Secretariat Bandipora.
Dar who is also holding the charge of Principal, District Institute of Education and Training Bandipora was accorded a warm welcome, consequent upon the retirement of former CEO Ab. Majid Malik.
Media Incharge Jahangeer Khan said CEO Bandipora was received with a thumping welcome by the whole staff of CEO office Bandipora, Deputy Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Principals, ZEOs and other trade union leaders.
In his welcome address, Deputy Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Mohammad Rafiq Parray expressed his immense pleasure and love on behalf of whole teaching and non-teaching fraternity of the district that Ab. Majeed Dar assumed the charge of CEO Bandipora.
Various trade union leaders of the education department were also present on the occasion and welcomed the CEO with garlands and flower bouquets.
Speaking on the occasion, the officers and officials said in one voice, "It is our honour to work under the subordination of such a noble, dynamic and honest officer and promised their utmost support to the new CEO.
Later on, CEO Bandipora also held a meeting with the Staff of the CEO office and took stock of several important issues.
