Poonch, Feb 13: A cricket tournament organised by the Indian Army concluded here on Tuesday in Nakka Majhari area of Poonch district in Jammu region, defence spokesperson said here.
He said that "In India, Cricket is considered as a religion rather than a game in Nakka Majhari, Poonch. Cricket flows in the blood of all the Indians irrespective of caste, creed, state or religion that was witnessed in the month long Cricket tournament organised by the Indian Army at Nakka Majhari Poonch district"
He said that the tournament scheduled from 23 Jan 2024 to 12 Feb 2024 witnessed participation of 16 Teams of Nakka Majhari and nearby areas.
He also said that the passion and exuberance of the tournament garnered august gathering, cheering for their teams.
"Final match of the tournament was played on 12 Feb 2024. The residents, players and the prominent personalities of the area applauded the efforts of Indian Army in organising such tournament," the PRO said
