Bandipora admin initiates door-to-Door campaign for Ayushman Bharat enrollment

Bandipora, Jan 30: In an effort to provide health Cover to every citizen under Ayushman Bharat Scheme, the Health Department in Bandipora has launched a door-to-door registration campaign for left-out beneficiaries to obtain golden cards.

Ayushman Bharat Yojana, introduced in September 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to economically assist the poor during medical emergencies.

Chief Medical Officer Bandipora, Dr. Rafi Ahmad Salati, stated that a door-to-door survey is being conducted to identify individuals not yet enrolled in the scheme. Bandipora district has enrolled families for the golden card, with a target of 3 lakh registrations, over 2 lakh cards have already been generated. The golden card package covers medical expenses up to 5 lakh.

During the ongoing door-to-door registration campaign, initiated this month, approximately 3000 persons who were not registered till date, have been enrolled under Ayushman Bharat. Out of the total target, 2,60,000 persons are already registered, constituting 81 percent.

It was reported that 100 percent of the target has been achieved for family registrations, benefiting 2,66,800 families through the Ayushman Bharat program.”
