Jammu NCC Contingents Shine in Republic Day Parades

Srinagar, Jan 26: The NCC Contingents from the Jammu Group, under the guidance of the NCC Directorate of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, have excelled in Republic Day Parades across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir

Impressively, the Girls Cadets from Government College for Women (GCW) Udhampur, representing the 2 J&K Girls NCC Battalion, secured the first prize, while Boys Cadets from Government Degree College (GDC) Udhampur, under the 2 J&K NCC Battalion, achieved the second position. 

These victories underscore the exceptional training provided by the Permanent Instructor staff of the NCC and dedicated Associate NCC Officers.

In the main RDC Parade at MAM Stadium Jammu, the Boys Contingent from 2 J&K NCC Battalion secured the third position, showcasing their commitment to unity, discipline, and national service.

Major General RK Sachdeva, Additional Director General, commended the NCC cadets and mentors for their superior performance. He stated, "The dedication of the cadets and the leadership provided by the instructors reflect the transformative impact of the NCC program, producing disciplined and motivated youth with a true Victorious Will and Can Do Attitude."

Representing the region at the National Capital during the Republic Day Parade 2024, NCC cadets from the Directorate of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh will march on Kartavaya Path and present Guards of Honour to dignitaries, including the Honourable Prime Minister during the PM Rally on January 27, 2024.

This remarkable achievement underscores the NCC's role in instilling character, camaraderie, and a sense of duty among the youth, contributing to the nation-building process through organised and motivated young leaders.
