ARO Jammu Briefs NCC Cadets on Agniveer Scheme
Nagrota, Jan 04: The Army Recruiting Office in Jammu conducted an informative lecture at Trg Academy Nagrota on Thursday, introducing 540 NCC Cadets to the opportunities provided by the Agnipath Scheme.
PRO Defence, Lt Col Suneel Bartwal told Kashmir Convener that the Agnipath Scheme has been designed to enable a youthful profile of the Armed Forces. "It provides an excellent opportunity to the Youth who are keen to don the uniform," he said.
"To make the cadets aware of this magnificent scheme, an informative and educative Lecture was organised by the Army Recruiting Office, Jammu for 540 NCC Cadets at Trg Academy Nagrota on 04 Jan 2024. The NCC Cadets exhibited keen interest and cleared many of their doubts," he said.
"In addition to the Agniveer Scheme, NCC Cadets were also made aware of the various types of entries existing to join the Armed Forces as Officers and Jawans and the benefits especially for the NCC Cadets given by the Central Government," the PRO added.
