Syed Shahnawaz Ahmad Haji elected president TFSA-Bandipora
Bandipora, June 05: The Technical Field Staff Association (TFSA) of Animal Husbandry Deptt last weekend elected Syed Shahnawaz Ahmad Haji as the president of Bandipora block for the period of five years.
An official spokesperson of the organization said Haji defeated his nearest rival Zahoor Ahmad Bhat with a margin of 10 votes. 32 members cast their votes in both online as well as offline mode. Haji got 21 votes while Zahoor Ahmad got 11 votes.
Spokesperson said TFSA of Animal Husbandry Deptt is a government recognized organization and affiliated with Veterinary Service Federation Of India Pune. The elections were held at meeting hall of block Veterinary complex.
The newly elected president expressed gratitutude to the members who posed trust in his leadership and assured that he will work for the welfare of the employees.
He said he would promote unity, honesty and dedication among the members and will remain committed to work tirelessly as a servant (Khadim) to uphold the principles & ethics of the association.
He appreciated the members for their support and said the active participation in election reflects their commitment to growth and development of the TFSA at grass root level.
The whole election was held under the leadership of Chief organise TFSA Kashmir Azad Ahmad Wani who was assigned the charge of election convener for Bandipora. Organising secretary TFSA Manzoor Ahmad Rather was election secretary while Abdul Rashid Sofi, Mohammad Rafiq Wani acted as observers for the election.
The newly elected President has done Post graduation in Physics.
Haji thanked members posted at both the offices of CAHO & BVO besides all other online members who participated in this process despite their very busy schedules.
“It is not the matter of winning/losing in any process but together we are poised to bring about the positive change and create a united voice for our esteemed members in Bandipora through this association,” Haji said in the statement..
“The TFSA Bandipora is committed to promote unity, honesty, dedication, transparency and combat any challenges. It is committed to provide necessary support and take appropriate action to address the issues and concerns of the esteemed members”.
The newly elected president also thanked Dr Muhammad Ramzan Chopan (LDO cum BVO), Imtiyaz Ahmad Hakeem (AVO, Ex-president) Azad Ahmad Wani, Chief organiser TFSA-Kashmir, former President TFSA-Bandipora Parvaiz Ahmad Reshi, Manzoor Ahmad (organising secretary TFSA-Kashmir) and observers- Abdul Rashid Sofi, Muhammad Rafiq Wani and Ajaz Ahmad Parray, Secretary TFSA-Baandipora and Gh. Ahmad Najar for ensuring the smooth and fair conduction of election process.
