GGHS Bandipora launches Green Plantation Drive

Bandipora, March 15: The Green Plantation Drive under the banner of "Green J&k Drive 2023" was kick started at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Bandipora with the plantation of many saplings on Wednesday.
The Dy. Chief Education Officer Bandipora and Principal of GGHS Bandipora Mohammad Rafiq Parrey organised the event in the school along with the staff members and was attended by the students of the school. He said, "The plantation drive is intended to usher in a sense of participation and belonging among the students".
On the occasion, Zonal Education officer Bandipora along with a few teachers from Zone Bandipora also planted some trees in the school.
Range officer Social forestry Bandipora Mohammad Bilal Mutoo emphasized to inculcate the habit of plantation among the future generations and children so that more and more trees are grown in the coming years. He said that the drive was the beginning of a massive plantation drive to be carried out by the Social Forest Department in upcoming days in various institutions/ departments and the saplings shall be provided for the purpose for creating green campuses everywhere.
The other officials from the Social Forestry Department who participated in the drive included Block Officer, Arbaz Ahmad and other field staff.
