Funeral prayers in absential for Amanullah Khan offered in Srinagar

 

Srinagar, April 29, CNS: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairperson Muhammad Yasin Malik Friday participated in the funeral prayers in absentia, that was organized for the party’s co-founder Amanullah Khan who passed away on April 26 in a Rawalpindi hospital in Pakistan.

The prayers were offered at a park located on the Bund near Polo View. Besides Malik, other separatist leaders including Javid Ahmed Mir, Sheikh Rashid, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Altaf Ahmad ,Basheer Kashmiri, Mushtaq Ajmal, ,Ashraf bin Salam, Imtiyaz Ahmed Reshi also participated in the funeral prayers.

Pertinently, Malik was detained on Wednesday, hours ahead of the proposed absentia prayers for Khan and was detained in Police Station Kothi Bagh. (CNS)
