Imam-e-Hai inaugurates Skill Development Institute in Bandipora

Bandipora, 05 Mar: Imam-e-Hai Bandipora Moulana Khursheed Anwar on Friday inaugurated Alim, Adab Aab Institute of Information Technology at Bandipora established under vocational Skill Development program.

Principal Girls Higher Secondary School Bandipora, Mohammad Rafiq parrey was also present on the occasion besides other members of civil society.

 The Centre set up near Jamia Masjid (Jadeed) Bandipora would provide computer training to students belonging to downtrodden and different sections of the society.

   An official of the Institute said the institute is going to train the students under NSDC levels viz Computer diploma courses, Cutting and Tailoring, Medical courses, Retail Courses, and CCE training. “It was disclosed that the institute will provide computer training to hundreds of students with 30% reservation for downtrodden”. The institute will also run several annual long term vocational courses.

   Moulana Khursheed Anwar praised the management for establishing the skill development institute and hoped that the institute will contribute in training the local educated youth to meet the challenges of the modern market. He said the institute like these will help to train the youngsters in different skills so as to make them employable in market and self sufficient as well. He prayed for the success of the institution and assured to render his help in every aspect.

Mohammad Rafiq Parrey while congratulating the institute management, said that computer science has become indispensable to carry out any work efficiently and hoped that the institute will produce many computer-literate youths who will be employed in different departments both under government and private sectors. 

He also spoke about the importance of skill courses in the context of NEP 2020. Furthermore, he said that computer application has helped in speedy and efficient execution of work in offices, schools, colleges and other sectors and it is impossible to survive without computers in today’s fiercely competitive world. 

 Student speakers including Seerat Nabi and Galib also threw light on the importance of vocational education. At the end of function, head of the center Suhail Ahmad Wani and Coordinator Mohammad Mujtaba thanked the guests for marking their presence on the occasion.
