Blood Donation Camp organised in DH Bandipora
Bandipora, February 07: About 17 youths from Bandipora on Monday donated blood For the Blood Bank of District Hospital Camp.
The special Blood Donation camp was jointly organised by International Delhi Public School and International Voluntary Youth Organisation in collaboration with District Hospital Bandipora.
Medical Superintendent DH Bandipora Dr Sheikh Mushtaq said 17 youths donated their blood. He said more youth turned up but the camp required only 17 units while other youth were asked to donate when needed.
Dr Sheikh Mushtaq said donating blood is absolutely safe and urged everyone to noramlize donating blood. He said the blood donated by people is given to the patients in emergency need like accident victims.
Chairman IDPS Fayaz Ahmad said the objective of the camp was to motivate people to donate blood voluntarily so as to save the precious life of needy patients.
“we are thankful to blood donors of Bandipora who turned up to donate blood,” he said adding that donated blood is used for meeting emergency cases at hospitals and he appealed to people to come forward for the blood donation.
