Bandipora, September 24: The 11th District Table Tennis Championship, organised by District Table Tennis Association Bandipora under the aegis of J&K Table Tennis Association at SK stadium Bandipora on Saturday.
The tournament was organised in collaboration with J&K Sports Council. More than 40 players participated including both boys and girls under the categories of sub-junior, junior and seniors.
In Sub-Junior boys, Shoaib Rafiq Bhat defeated Hatim Hassan by 2-3 sets while in junior boys category Imran Ramzan trounced Suhaib Rafiq by 3-2 sets and Junaid Iqbal defeated Shoib khoja by 3-1 sets in senior boys category.
In sub-junior girls Nazrana Naz defeated Ifra Mushtaq by 3-0 while in junior girls Umi-Ruman Jan defeated Ifra Ehsan by 3-1 and Nazrana Ehsan defeated Jamsheeda yousuf by 3-2 in senior girls category.
Mr Usman Majid Vice-president Jammu Kashmir Apni Party was the chief guest of the closing ceremony while Mohd. Mohsin Mir, vice-president DTTAB, Syed Shafat Qazmi, District President Apni Party and Hari Begum, BDC Chairman were the guests of honour.
