SSP Bandipora reviews Crime, Security situation

Bandipora, 29 June: To review the Police functioning in district Bandipora, SSP Bandipora Mohmmad Zahid today chaired a crime and security review meeting at Conference Hall DPL.

The meeting was attended by ASP Bandipora Ashiq Hussain Tak, DYSP HQRS Bandipora Mohmmad Idrees, DYSP DAR Ishfaq Alam, SDPO Sumbal, SDPO Gurez, DYSP PC Bandipora, DYSP PC Hajin and all Station House Officers of district Bandipora and Incharge Police posts. CPO Court Bandipora AB Majeed and Sr. PO DPO Bandipora Mohmmad Junaid were also present during the meeting.

During the meeting discussion was held on general crime work & case FIRs registered in 2020-21, backlog cases and their disposal, conviction of all crime cases including cases related to terrorism & narcotics and cases of heinous nature.The overall security scenario of the district was discussed with jurisdictional police officers. All officers gave powerpoint presentations regarding crime and security scenarios of their respective jurisdictions.

Addressing the officers SSP Bandipora, said that the jurisdictional supervisory officers must take all the measures to improve investigation and disposal of cases by personally monitoring the cases.He impressed upon the officers that periodic review meetings be held and sensational cases/heinous nature must be investigated under the direct supervision of the SDPOs. He stressed upon the officers to speed up the disposal of all pending cases especially narcotic cases and directed that quality of investigation and disposal of these cases needs improvement and stressed upon them to adopt latest techniques and standard practices which would bring improvement in investigation of the cases including cyber crimes.

The SSP directed the officers to revisit the security arrangements and keep a close eye on the anti national and anti social elements.He asked for analyzing the ground situations on a real time basis and added that safety of people should be ensured. SSP also impressed that the COVID-19 SOPs/orders must be followed in letter & spirit. The meeting ended on a positive note.
