Ayush distributes immunity boosters among people at DH Handwara

Handwara, June 11: The Department of Indian System of Medicines (AYUSH), unit Handwara on Thursday, organized a free medical camp at the premises of DH Handwara to distribute free ISM medicines among people.

The camp was inaugurated in presence of Medical Superintendent Associated GMC hospital Handwara, Dr Nisar Wani and deputy Medical Superintendent Handwara Dr Aijaz.

A senior doctor said that on the directions of  Director ISM J&K and ADMO Kupwara Dr Farooq Iqbal medical awareness camp cum ISM distribution camp was started in the first week of June and is still going on.

 

He said so far the ISM unit Handwara has successfully organized three (free) medical camps and ISM  distribution camps in which around  700 people have given free medicines.

Besides providing the immunity booster medicines  the camp is also providing awareness about the wearing of masks, maintaining social distance and using of hand sanitiser is being spread and also how vaccination can be important for all of us is being conveyed to the people

In this camp, Dr Mohd Ismail, Dr Shahijahan Wani, Dr Ayoub Marazi, Dr Seema Bashir and senior pharmacist Farooq Ahmad are taking part and are spread information about the Covid-19 and make people aware.

During the camps hundreds of medicine, kits were given to the people to boost their immunity against the virus.

On the occasion, MS Handwara Dr Nisar Ahmad Wani and Deputy  Medical Superintendent DH Handwara Dr Aijaz Said, said that  ISM Health Workers have a vital role in prevailing situations particularly during the Pandemic and these medicines will help them increase immunity besides also improving strength and vitality.

Meanwhile, locals of the area expressed their gratitude to ISM  ADMO kupwara  Dr Farooq Iqbal and  Dr Zahoor Ahmad Tantray for organizing such a camp in these difficult times.
