G’bl police files chargesheet against militant, 3 associates of HM
Srinagar, Mar 11 (KNO): Ganderbal Police on Thursday submitted charge sheet against a militant and three associates of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, a militant outfit.
The charge sheet was filed in a case under FIR number 199/2020 of Police Station Ganderbal, a statement issued today reads.
“The case pertains to the incident dated 14th September 2020 when Ganderbal Police along with 05RR busted HM module and arrested three militant associates identified as Arshid Ahmad Khan, son of Muhammad Altaf Khan of Wayil Wudder, Majid Rasool Rather, son of Ghulam Rasool Rather and Muhammad Aasif Najar, son of Abdul Razaq Najar, both residents of Beehama Ganderbal of HM for hatching criminal conspiracy for militant acts, harboring militants and giving support to the outfit,” the statement said.
It added that the investigation conducted revealed that the arrested trio had came into contact with a Pak based Kashmiri militant namely Fayaz Ahmad Khan, son of Abdul Dawood Khan of Gutlibagh and were being handled by him from across to take up various militant and subversive activities in the district.
“After conclusion of investigations, necessary Government sanction was obtained and accordingly chargesheet has been filed before the Competent Court by Ganderbal Police under section 7/25 IAA, 13, 18, 20, 23, 39, UA(P)A against four accused persons,” the statement said—(KNO)
