Srinagar, Oct 13: A printing press worth Rupees 2 crore and 75 lakhs was gutted in a massive blaze on Tuesday at Khonmoh industrial area of Srinagar.
An Official told the news agency KDC that the printing press namely Sports Unlimited belonging to Shahana Fatima caught fire early Tuesday morning, leaving the printing press completely damaged.
He said that police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law and set investigations into motion.
"Short circuit is believed to be the cause behind the fire, however investigations are on," he added.
Meanwhile, fire victims demanded of the government to provide them with proper compensation without delay. (KDC)
