Srinagar August 16: Prominent Islamic Scholar and rector Darul-uloom Rahimya Bandipora Molvi Rehmatullah Qasmi Sunday expressed strong resentment over the blasphemous remarks against prophet Mohammad (SAW) in a video that has gone viral on social media and demanded strict action against culprits.
In an audio message, Molvi Rehmatullah Mir said the Muslims across the world can tolerate anything except blasphemous words against their prophet who is dear to every Muslim more than their own lives, wealth, children and family. He said such acts can’t be tolerated at any cost and demanded strict action against the culprit who are hell bent to hurt the sentiments of the people.
He stressed on the government to investigate the matter at earliest to check the authenticity of the video and identify the culprit and give an exemplary punishment to them so that such incidents can’t be repeated in future. He said the government and its agencies need to wake up and act immediately to book the culprits. “We can’t tolerate if government acts as mute spectators and doesn’t act against the culprits”.
