Bandipora, March 03: District Taekwondo championship Bandipore was inaugurated by Deputy Superintendent of Police Bandipore Mir Murtaza on Tuesday at SK stadium Bandipore.
The championship was organised by Bandipore Taekwondo Association under the agies of Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association.
The championship will culminate on Wednesday. An official of the association said that around 230 participants from all over the District took part from various schools and clubs in all age categories of boys and girls.
Taekwondo is an Olympic sports in India and recognized by Indian Olympic Association.
On the occasion an international Cyclist Simara Abraham from Kerala was the special guest while SHO Bandipore Saleem Ahmad were the guests of Honour.
