KU holds interactive session with poet Zareef Ahmad Zareef

Srinagar,july 2: Alama Iqbal Library on Saturday held an interactive session with noted poet,writer and historian Zareef Ahmad Zareef at Ibn-e-Khaldum auditorium in Kashmir University in which the invitee shared his life experiences, various ways to hold upto an ideal society.
The programme under the name ‘Meet the Eminent programme with Zareef Ahmad Zareef’ was organized by Alama Iqbal Library as part of a series of such interactions with eminent personalities of society.
On the occasion professor Talat Ahmad, VC Kashmir university was the chief guest who while speaking on the occasion stressed on the need of conducting such interactions in order to brainstorm the exchange of ideas at a collective level. He also congratulated the event organisers of Alama Iqbal Library and wished to see more such interactive sessions in future as well.
The event was kickstarted with a welcome address by Prof. G.M peerzada who highlighted the contribution of zareef ahmad zareef in literature,Kashmiri culture and in other fields.
During the event Zareef Ahmad Zareef spoke on the various life experiences he had. The up’s and down’s during all these years and his relation with Kashmiri culture, poetry and cultural heritage of Kashmir.
The event was attented by a large segment of audiences, academicians, students, noted writers and columnists of valley. Discussion and Book review of zareefs award winning book also became the part of session.
Dr.Mohammad Ishaq lone, Assistant Librarian AIL moderated as well as presented the vote of thanks at the concluding occasion.
