Bhat seeks intervention of admin for just resolution of problems of porters aspiring engagement in defense service
Bandipora, May 09: Senior PDP leader Nizamuddin Bhat has sought the intervention of administration for just and amicable resolution of a problem arising out of porters aspiring engagement in defense services.
In a statement issued here, Bhat said elements hell bent to exploit the simple and legitimate service issue have started creating misgivings among the deserving class for such job in Bandipore.
Referring to distress expressed by local porters in various quarters, Bhat said they have concerns for livelihood and expect a fair deal from authorities making the engagements.
He said while the Defence authorities ensure employment to all, there are exploiters trying to malign the whole process. "It is where the administration can help in removing doubts and should intervene before innocents are misled for harboring doubts." He hoped that those who protest will also ensure that they don't spread canards.
Bhat also appealed to depoliticize the issue as it has sensitivities involved which need to be given priority for larger interests.
He said labour class deserves compassion and authorities are expected to work in harmony with everyone involved for an obvious and better deal to aspirants.
