Students of AGS launch Plantation Drive in Bandipora

Bandipora, 22 April: Army Goodwill School Bandipora monday launched a plantation drive at chitternar area of Bandipora district.
An official spokesperson said that Army Goodwill School Bandipora has a long standing tradition of preservation of culture, heritage and flora and fauna." In order to sensitize students towards the need to preserve environment and ecology, tree plantation drives are organised in the School from time to time. One such drive was held on today, during which trees were planted around the area of Chittnar Forest."
The Principal ms Shabnam, Vice Principals, Incharge of Co-curricular Activities and many other teachers were present on the occasion and they planted numerous trees.
On the occassion Principal highlighted the importance of plants in our lives and urged the people to plant more and more trees. She said the best gift a person can give to the world is to plant a tree that provides fresh oxygen to the people and helps in curbing global warming.
